Solang Valley
From the moment you enter Solang Valley, breathing aroma of Himalayan flora, you feel the harmony & freshness like you never had before. Just half hour drive from Manali, the unspoiled mountains and green forests all around blend a scenic feast for everyone.
This valley is located at a distance of 12 KM from main town before Kothi. The place is famous for adventurous sports like Bungee jump, Paragliding, Zorbing, horse riding, trekking and skiing. Kothi offers picturesque view of towering cliffs, frosted hillsides and undulating meadows. This place is on the way to Rohtang but take left diversion at the village Palchan.
Just take a walk around and see for yourself how nature throbs from inside. If you are looking for a little adventurous fun then try out paragliding or tread towards river bank with gushing sparkles of glacial waters of Beas river. During peak seasons you might have an extravaganza of watching live Bollywood shootings.
Paragliding in Solang valley has great charm. There are expert fliers in and around Manali who have excellent wing techniques & experience with this sport. The craze for a sloping down from hill side in tandem wings is increasing. Its fun to be a part of it.
Cable Car
Nearly 1.8 KM length , Price is Rs 500/- per head in both ways. Time it takes 10 minutes. Spot booking is available. No other booking facility is available.
Anjali Mahadev Shiv Ling is there at hill top at a distance of 2 KM. Tourist can reach the temple by horse or by trekking. The Shiva Linga is formed by solidification of glacier during winter or cold seasons. This ice Shivling is not available in summer seasons ( after March end ) because of melting of ice.
